In plain English. The only personal data this website collects is what you type into the quote form or send us by email or phone. We use it to reply to you and to arrange a hire. We do not sell it, we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for, and this site sets no tracking cookies. The quote form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms. Videos on the site are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play.

2. What we collect and why

Quote form and enquiries

When you send the quote form we receive your name, production or company, phone number, email address, and what you tell us about the hire (equipment, sizes, dates, location and notes). We use this to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and, if you go ahead, to carry out the hire. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and then performance of that contract.

Phone and email

If you call or email us we keep the details needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting hire, including the records we must keep for accounting and tax purposes (legal obligation) and to manage our relationship with you as a customer (legitimate interests).

Technical data

This website is served by a hosting provider that records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the service running. We do not run analytics on this site and we do not set tracking cookies.

3. Cookies

This website does not set cookies of its own. If you press play on an embedded video it is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube's own privacy policy then applies to that video. Nothing loads from YouTube until you choose to play a video.

4. Who we share it with

Web3Forms, which passes the contents of the quote form from the website to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as a processor on our behalf.
Our email and hosting providers, who store our mail and serve this website.
Professional advisers such as our accountants, where needed to keep our records.
Sub-contracted crew, plant or transport suppliers where a hire needs them, limited to the details required to deliver the job (site address, contact name and phone number on the day).

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a hire are deleted within 12 months. Hire records, quotations and invoices are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.

6. Where it is stored

Our email and business systems may store data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the provider's UK-approved safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision).

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, object to or restrict certain processing, and ask for data you gave us to be provided in a portable format.
